Halftime, Ferris 10-0

I'm going to take you back to the 1970s: Precious and Few were the opportunities for both teams in the first half.

Two combined possessions resulted in 16 minutes and 18 seconds coming off the clock out of a possible 24 minutes. Incredible ballcontrol by both teams - except Ferris has cashed in twice.

Ferris scored on its first possession, mkarching 70 yards on five plays with running back Kole Heidinger plunging in from a yard out.

Then the teams took turns taking time off the clock. Ferris' defense was solid.

The Saxons' last possession began at their 10-yard line. Fifteen plays and 8:41 later, kicker Alex Belling booted a 33-yard field goal into a pushing wind that barely snuck through on the ride side to give the Saxons a 10-0 going into halftime.

Ferris has been balanced, rushing for 74 yards and passing for 73. Chiawana has 46 yards rushing and just 10 passing.
