Will EWU be ranked No. 1 on Sunday?

Delaware, the top-ranked team in both The Sports Network/Fathead.com Top 25 and Football Championship Subdivision Coaches Poll, lost at home to No. 15 Villanova 28-21 in overtime on Saturday, while Appalachian State, ranked No. 2 in both polls, was drubbed by Florida, an unranked Football Bowl Subdivision school, 48-10.

That means No. 3-ranked Eastern Washington, which thumped Idaho State 34-7, could move into the No.1 spot in both polls, which will be updated later today.

Eagles linebacker J.C. Sherritt said of the possibility. "But at the FCS level, rankings really don't mean all that much, because we decide our champion on the field."
