PREPS

I've watched hundreds of prep football games in my 26 years here, but the comeback win by the Ferris Saxons was impressive. Click here to read the story. By the way, Ferris is 7-0. My story listed a 6-0 record. Here's our GSL roundup here with Gonzaga Prep's Bishop Sankey inching closer to the league's all-time career rushing record. Here's our roundup of the other games in the region. Here's a list of all the Washington and Idaho scores. And the Lewis and Clark girls soccer team captured the GSL championship here.

CLARIFICATION: The play at the end of the third quarter in the Ferris/Mead game - that I wrote about in the top of my story - was properly conducted by the referees as it turns out. A double personal foul had been called on each team and by rule one more untimed play must be allowed before starting the next quarter. The explanation given in the press box was incorrect. The referees did their job. I personally didn't see the flags on the play.
