UPDATED: Friday, 10:30 a.m.

Gonzaga Prep running back Bishop Sankey cruised past the Greater Spokane League's all-time rushing record as the Bullpups held off Mead 35-21.

The story is here. Sankey's overall career yardage is now 4,801. So he will crack the 5,000 yard mark with at least two games left - next week against Ferris and a play-in game. By the way, the 359 was 7 yards short of the all-time single best game.

Another record Sankey broke last night was the single scoring mark. He now has 192 points (32 touchdowns), breaking the previous record, 180, set also by CV's Tyree Clowe.

QUESTION: Hey Coug fans, think Sankey might look good in a WSU uniform?
