Gonzaga Prep (7-1) and Ferris (8-0) get together Friday at Albi Stadium to decide the top two 4A play-in seeds. Kickoff is at 8.

There's much on the line. For instance, how about a home play-in game? The Gonzaga Prep/Ferris winner will play at home the following week against the Columbia Basin Big Nine's third seed, Wenatchee (5-3). Two weeks ago, Wenatchee lost 42-18 to Lake City of Coeur d'Alene (6-2), which was playing its first game with backup quarterback Bobby Traverse, a junior, starting for injured Mark Smyly.

The Ferris/G-Prep loser travels to face second-seed Richland (7-1). Richland lost 17-7 earlier to No. 1 seed Chiawana (7-0). Central Valley (5-3) travels to Chiawana.

In 3A, Mt. Spokane (7-1) will play host to CBBN third seed Kennewick (6-2). University (4-4) goes to either Kamiakin (8-0) or Eastmont (6-2) of Wenatchee. Kamiakin and Eastmont meet Friday to decide the top two seeds. The Kamiakin/Eastmont winner will entertain CBBN No. 4 Southridge (3-5) in play-in action.

Across the border, Coeur d'Alene (7-1) entertains crosstown rival Lake City on Friday. The game will decide the 5A Inland Empire League championship and where a rematch the following week will be played.
