Half: Idaho 17, N. Dakota 0

It was far from a crisp first half for the Idaho football team. Nonetheless, the Vandals are up 17-0 over North Dakota, an FCS team from the Great West Conference. Idaho's spirited defense forced two turnovers, the first a JoJo Dickson interception that was almost returned for a TD. Instead, Princeton McCarty punched in a 5-yard run.

Quarterback Nathan Enderle started 5 for 5 and ended the half 17-fof-27 passing for 218 yards and one TD. He also threw an interception on a downfield heave 22 seconds left before halftime. Enderle's TD was a 44-yard strike to Justin Veltung down the sideline.

UI was penalized six times -- three of which were procedure penalties by wideouts Eric Greenwood and Preston Davis -- and gave up four sacks.
