A good morning to catch up with WSU

COUGARS

Do you have to pay attention at work today? Can't you just hide in the corner somewhere with your Droid and get your football fix? Because this is a morning to do it. There is a lot of ground to cover concerning Washington State – and the rest of the Pac-10 – so read on.
••••••••••

• Washington State: Where to start? Well, we had our notes from yesterday on the blog earlier, so if you missed those, here's another chance. We also had our story on former Cougar player and current Montana State assistant coach Jason McEndoo, so that is also available. ... CougCenter has its tailgating guide and, as far as I can tell, the RVs are out in force this week. ... More on Mike Kramer and the Montana State connection. ... Now on to the rest of the conference.

• Around the Pac-10: It's Friday, so ESPN.com's Ted Miller opens up his mailbag ... Washington: With Syracuse coming to Husky Stadium, Bob Condotta profiles head coach Doug Marrone, who is trying to change a losing culture. ... Condotta also has some notes from practice. ... Though Marrone was an offensive line coach, it's the Syracuse defense that has improved quickly. ... Oregon State: Believe it or not, there are some pretty tough parts of Pasadena, and they are not that far from the Rose Bowl. Lance Mitchell knows all about it. ... The last time the Beavers played Louisville, it was a disaster for OSU. ... Oregon: Trying to figure out how Tennessee will defend the offense has been a nightmare for the Duck coaching staff. ... Cal: It's a harbinger of a conference to come. Colorado invades Strawberry Canyon. ... Stanford: The only Pac-10 matchup of the day has a lot to watch. ... And plenty of intrigue. ... USC: Quarterback Matt Barkley's performance against Hawaii was mostly overlooked. That's fine with him. ... UCLA: After getting gashed by Kansas State, the Bruins will turn to a couple freshmen to help shore up the defense. ... Arizona State: This starting defensive tackle has a familiar last name. It's too bad his dad probably has to be in Pullman and won't be able to be there to witness it. ... What the Sun Devils face this week in NAU. ... Arizona: The offensive line doesn't believe it played all that well last week. ... The Wildcats' quarterback coach has a eclectic resume.

• That's all for this morning. We'll be working on our game preview items this morning, then head over to the Cougar walk-through. Our next post is planned for after that. Until then ...
