Prep football this week

So which is the real University football team? The one that handled Lewis and Clark last week or the one that Ferris topped the week before?

Click the tab below for more.

I suspect the closest version of the real U-Hi team surfaced last Friday when the Titans (1-1) bounced back from a season-opening loss to beat Lewis and Clark.

We'll see if the Titans can keep it rolling this week. They face a team trying to find its way without a quarterback per se - Gonzaga Prep. Oh, yes, the Bullpups lined up Bishop Sankey in shotgun as their quarterback, but he's as much a quarterback as I am.

Here's the Thursday doubleheader lineup at Joe Albi: North Central (1-1) vs. Ferris (2-0), 4:45 p.m., followed by Central Valley (1-1) against struggling Rogers (0-2), 7:15.

On Friday, defending league champ Mt. Spokane (2-0) takes on Shadle Park (0-2) at 5:30 at Albi followed at 8 by Lewis and Clark (1-1) against Mead (1-1).

The out-of-Albi game is U-Hi at G-Prep at 7.

Over in North Idaho, Coeur d'Alene (2-1) and Lake City (1-2) have byes while Post Falls (2-0) makes its home debut Friday against East Valley (1-1).
