As expected, Chris Siegfried (pictured above), who coached Spokane to an af2 championship in 2006, has been named head coach of the Pittsburgh Power. The Power are one of four new teams (though all have past AFL ties) beginning play in the 2011 season. Here's more.

Elsewhere, Darren Arbet is back in the saddle with the San Jose franchise. He took the SaberCats to three AFL crowns in his previous stint.

UPDATE: Kansas City has a new coach and soon, a new nickname.

New Orleans is back in the AFL game, and the VooDoo already have a starting quarterback.
