WR Sammons back with Shock

Emery Sammons has become the sixth player from Spokane's 2010 ArenaBowl championship team to re-join the Shock.

Sammons, who had 17 catches during the regular season, stepped in at linebacker in the ArenaBowl and led the defense with nine tackles and a blocked field goal. Sammons is the third receiver to return, joining Greg Orton and Shaun Kauleinamoku.

Meanwhile, ex-Shock WRs Huey Whittaker and Markee White had winning debuts in the UFL. Whittaker had one catch for nine yards in Florida's 27-20 win over Las Vegas. White had a four-yard touchdown reception in Hartford's 27-10 victory over Sacramento. Ex-Shock DB Isaiah Trufant made three tackles for Las Vegas.
