Vandal injury update

The Idaho football team appears healthier than it was last week at this time, but there are still a few injuries to mention -- including a couple that popped up today during practice. Click below for details.

Left tackle Matt Cleveland had an eye gouged during an early practice drill. He sat out the rest of the day and probably will have to wear a visor on his helmet for protection Saturday when the Vandals play Colorado State, coach Robb Akey said. "I know I would be wearing one," Akey joked.

Backup safety Quin Ashley sustained a yet-to-determined knee injury during a Tuesday morning weight training session. Akey said an MRI will be done to determine how severe it is. Ashley sat out of practice and was noticeably hobbling.

Offensive guard Tevita Halaholo and starting defensive tackle Jonah Sataraka both practiced after missing last week's game. Both should be back for CSU. Wide receivers Justin Veltung and Preston Davis also practiced.
