Harv Clark, the longtime public address announcer for Gonzaga men's and women's basketball games, died Friday after a lengthy battle with heart disease. He was 69.

After introducing the starting five for each team, Clark led fans to the opening tip with his trademark line: "Let's pllllaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy some basketball." His last season with the GU men was 2007. Clark had a 51-year career in radio.

Here's an article on Clark by Carolyn Lamberson that will run in Sunday's S-R.
