Another light Monday on WSU front

COUGARS

As we say, oh, about 52 times a year, Monday mornings are "The Walking Dead" of links days. There is just very little out there. But what we can find, we pass along, so read on.

••••••••••

• Washington State: Not being in Pullman they past few days (things are progressing as well as could be expected on the home front) it's hard to pass along any news from practice because everything I'm getting is second hand. But we did have some thoughts on a couple issues in yesterday's post. ... We did find this piece from the Orlando Sentinel and pass it along because A) it's about a Washington State recruit and B) the last name might sound familiar to people around here. ... And that's about it that's free.

•••

• Around the Pac-12: Not a lot from around the conference either. ... Washington: Nothing here. ... Oregon State: Or here. ... Oregon: Or even here, despite all the drama of the past week. ... California: It's back to the future for the Bears coaching staff. ... Stanford: The Cardinal scrimmaged yesterday and the running game was stuffed. Maybe it was because, as quarterback Andrew Luck said, they stayed pretty vanilla. ... Colorado: Nothing out of Boulder. ... Utah: The Utes need Jordan Wynn to stay healthy. ... USC: Though receiver Robert Woods is playing hurt, he still was darn near unstoppable in the Trojans' Sunday scrimmage. ... UCLA: The money pool for assistants has shrunk in Westwood. Not that it's expensive to live in West Los Angeles or anything. ... Arizona State: Less than two weeks to the season openers. ... Arizona: The Wildcats huddle might be a lot like our youth pickup football games. "OK, everybody go deep."

•••

• That's all for this morning. There is no practice for the Cougars today as they all try to find their classes on the first day of school. We expect to be back from Pullman tomorrow. Until then ...
