State basketball tourneys

I'm re-posting this because a number have made some good comments.

Here's a link to my column about the new state tourney format. All the play-in qualifiers and regional spots have been decided for the Washington state boys and girls basketball tournaments. You can check out brackets for each tourney here.

QUESTIONS: What do you think about it? And which teams do you think will fare well? Nobody is talking and it's time to talk. Here's a prediction: I see at least three of the four Greater Spokane League boys and girls 4A teams moving on to Tacoma. One of the North Central teams should advance as well. It wouldn't shock me if all four 4A teams move on. The GSL is so much better than the Columbia Basin Big Nine Conference - period. That was evident Tuesday when Ferris took Richland to the woodshed.
