COUGARS
We will have a story for tomorrow's S-R on the importance of this weekend, but we have one piece of news for you right now, so read on.
••••••••••
• Sophomore point guard Reggie Moore was arrested on a Whitman County summons yesterday relating to a marijuana possession citation from early December in Scott Hall, according to a WSU police report. Moore was cited for two misdemeanors, possession of marijuana less than 40 grams and use of drug paraphernalia. Both have mandatory minimum sentences of one day in jail and a fine of usually between $250 and $500. We're trying to find out if this will affect his status for tomorrow's game. More later.

well… I guess reggie won’t be the floor leader this season . my guess he will be suspended for the season.

Mark Few and the Josh Heytveldt case a few years ago is probably a good template to follow. More proof that college kids do dumb things.
Bone’s job getting the Cougs to the top of the Pac-10 without Moore just got tougher.

There is no way Moore gets suspended for the year. Maybe 1 or 2 games at the most. There is a good chance that Bone already knew about this and has already dealt out a punishment.
Heytfeld was a completely different case. I believe his case was late in the night, prior to one of their biggest games of the year. That is not only breaking the law, but having a total disregard for your team. The combination of both is what led to such a huge suspension

Definitely impacts the team and the Cougs hopes for the post season, as it seems like Mike Harthun was shown the door a couple of years ago over this sort of transgression.
Not to be trite, but this could explain his lack of focus over the last few games, eh?
Go Cougs!!

With his recent wrist injury, I’m sure this was part of his medical treatment!
Not a good situation given the recent marijuana issues with a couple from the football team getting busted also. I’m not naïve, but wow.
If this has been hanging over him/team no wonder.
Maybe this forces a change for the better. My new starting 5:
Dilorio =1
Capers = 2
Thompson = 3
Motum = 4
Casto =5

Rambler, So Abe Lodwick losses his starting spot because of Moore? And why Dilorio, hasn’t he been about 5th or 6th off the bench. why not start a scorer in Aden or the back up point in Winston. Caper and Thompson have both ran the point this year. And I am not so sure the game wasn’t flowing better before Moore started getting full minutes. Coach Bone will make the right choice, for the player and the team. And no matter what he does there will be those who agree and disagree.
