Zags pass century mark again
Another game, another win, another record, another PR, that seems the way it goes for the Gonzaga women's basketball team. Read on.
You could say the Bulldogs passed their last tough test Thursday night, racing to an impressive 106-77 win at Saint Mary's, but there has been a time or two when there have been surprises in sports. That said, the Bulldogs have 8 WCC games left, 5 at home and 3 on the road against the bottom three teamsin the standings. Considering the Gaels were the second-place team, draw your own conclusions. Anyway, Claire Rapp upped her career high for the second straight game and the Zags hit 100 for the fifth time this season, which is another record. Courtney Vandersloot did her thing with her 9th double-double, Katelan Redmon was her usual efficient self and the Zags only got swatted three times by NCAA blocks leader Louella Tomlinson. The Bulldogs play at San Deigo on Saturday and return home to play Portland in a rare Friday game.
Eastern Washington stumbled at Portland State, league-leading Louisiana Tech won at Idaho.
