Shock losing pair to NFL

With the lockout over, it appears the Spokane Shock will lose two players to the NFL.

The Shock knew defensive lineman Ayanga Okpokowuruk would leave to join the New York Giants as soon as the players and owners reached an agreement. Spokane also will be without offensive lineman Laupepa Letuli, who is bound for the Dallas Cowboys. Letuli joined the Shock roughly two weeks ago.

Okpokowuruk made eight tackles, two tackles for loss, in six games.

The Shock visit Arizona on Friday to open the playoffs. The Rattlers will be without standout receiver Rod Windsor and kicker Fabrizio Scaccia. Both previously signed NFL contracts. Arizona, minus both players, defeated Dallas to close the regular season 16-2.
