WSU leads 41-26 at half

COUGARS

Did a lot of tweeting just after the halftime buzzer, but we'll touch salient points here. WSU's lead is built on good shooting (56.7 percent) and even better rebounding (lead 20-12 in that category). I am sure Kevin O'Neill is ripping into the Trojans as we write, so repeating those numbers after halftime won't be easy. ... The bad news is Reggie Moore left with 11:14 until halftime with what looked like a pretty badly sprained right ankle. He took a shot and came down on a USC player, went down and hobbled off. He hasn't returned to the bench. ... Faisal Aden has filled in well tonight, eschewing the 3-point shot for the most part (he's 0-for-2) and instead doing what he does well, faking and attacking. He's got 10 points. ... DeAngelo Casto has been dealing with Nikola Vucevic's elbows well enough to hit 5-of-6 shots and lead all scorers with 11 points. Aden and Klay Thompson have 10 apiece. ... Interesting stat of the first half: Points in the paint, WSU 24, USC 10. ... We'll be back about 90 minutes after the buzzer with our post.
