• I put together the following short story for tomorrow's paper. But the big news is Thompson will play. … Also, Reggie Moore practiced Monday, though he was still limited by his right ankle sprain. Whether he'll be ready to go by Thursday is still up in the air. … Here's the Thompson story …

PULLMAN – Washington State coach Ken Bone lifted Klay Thompson's suspension Monday, saying the Cougar scoring leader will start Thursday's Pac-10 Conference tournament opener against Washington.

Thompson was suspended Friday after receiving a misdemeanor marijuana possession citation the night before. The junior, who leads the conference in scoring at 21.4 points per game, missed the Cougars' final Pac-10 regular season game Saturday, a 58-54 overtime loss to visiting UCLA.

Point guard Reggie Moore, who sprained his right ankle in a win over USC last Thursday, practiced on a limited basis Monday. His status for Thursday has yet to be determined.

• That's it for now. We'll be back later. Until then …
