Koper, Reid give Chiefs win in SO
Levko Koper's shootout goal and a save by James Reid gave the Spokane Chiefs a 4-3 win over the Kootenay Ice on Saturday.
A late goal by Brayden McNabb, set up by Cody Eakin's work in the corner, lift the Kootenay Ice into overtime against the Spokane Chiefs before 8,800 fans at the Arena Saturday night.
In the shoout, the first four Chiefs missed until Koper beat Nathan Lieuwen with a backhander. Then Reid stopped McNabb, the Ice fifth shooter.
