It's been a long day, so we're going to keep this short. But we do have a couple items to share, so read on.
• As we suspected, there were more kids affected by bumps and bruises after the Stanford game than were talked about yesterday. Defensive starters C.J. Mizell and Tyree Toomer were at practice but stayed out of the drills tonight, with coach Paul Wulff saying he expected that both would be able to get after it tomorrow. More than anything, Wulff said, they were sore and needed to take another day off. ... Receiver and punt returner Henry Eaddy was also in street clothes after suffering a concussion against the Cardinal. More than likely he'll be out this week. ... There was a lot of good news on the injury front today, though. News like defensive end Lenard Williams returning to practice after missing last week with what was a concussion. Another defensive end, Adam Coerper, out since San Diego State with a knee problem, took part in some of the drills tonight. There's a chance he'll be able to be on the field Saturday. And punt returner Leon Brooks returned to practice showing no ill effects from his shoulder injury. ... Other than that, it was a typical Monday night practice, no pads and a lot of teaching. ...
