• Washington State: The WSU Regents will hold a special meeting today on the Martin Stadium project, discussing the south side remodel, which includes the new premium seating, suites, press box and other amenities. The football operations building to the west is also discussed but only in regards to the south side remodel. In other words, the two have been split apart in some ways, including waiting to see how much the south side will really cost before moving forward with the football operations building. • Around the Pac-12: We let's Ted Miller tell us the conference's players of the week and who's doing well in the Heisman race. … Bob Clark of the Register-Guard has some advice for Mike Bellotti. … Washington: The Huskies know they need to bounce back this week, especially on defense. … Oregon State: The Beavers face a team with real quarterback problems. … Oregon: Cliff Harris should just ride the bus. … The Ducks, who cover punts as well as anyone, have played well in the second half of games as their opponents wear down. … California: The Bears won't be talking about UCLA's problems. … Stanford: What would a Cardinal national title say about college football? … Colorado: Quarterback Tyler Hansen has a concussion. … Utah: Though John Hays is struggling, as are the Utes in general, he's still their quarterback. … USC: Running back Dillon Baxter is out for the rest of the season. … UCLA: Rick Neuheisel is playing it safe with freshman quarterback Brett Hundley. … Arizona State: The Sun Devils are getting healthier as their schedule eases up. … Arizona: The Wildcats' secondary is in full crisis mode.
