Cougs roll on with the spring

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN -- With so little else going on right now, two days away from spring football almost feels like a week. But WSU is back at it today with its 12th practice of the spring, the first of two this week before Saturday's spring game. As usual, we'll be there. And as usual, we have some links and whatnot.

...

We do have a Cougar story from today's newspaper to pass along -- Jim Allen spoke with former WSU basketball player Brad Jackson, who coached Western Washington to the Division II national championship this season, and wrote this story. ... A brief update about Ryan Leaf's legal issues in Texas, where he may get his probation revoked. ... Urban Meyer thinks Mike Leach is a "certified nut job," in a good way, as CougCenter details.

Around the Pac-12 ... Former Arizona guard Kyle Fogg will have to learn how to play point guard to make it at the next level. A torn ACL cut short a good spring for a Wildcats safety. ... Washington's Cody Bruns is ready for his senior season, after a few bumps in the road. Bishop Sankey -- I hear he's popular in Pullman -- is making a run at UW's starting running back spot. ... The UW basketball team added a transfer from San Francisco. ... Oregon's defensive coordinator remains cautious about his squad. ... Oregon State's offensive line will receive instruction from a familiar face. ... Washington hopes to contribute for Oregon this season. ... It's too early for this, but hey, here you go. ... Colorado is bracing for a youth movement and looking for leaders. The addition of this recruit could help in the future.

Back with more after practice.
