FROM PULLMAN -- Aside from the Pac-12 players selected in the NFL draft, there isn't much news out there for you today. But we'll soldier on anyway, because there are at least a couple stories to link.

We do have some WSU links for you, but not the traditional kind. No, the first is a preview of this weekend's Pac-12 women's golf championships at Palouse Ridge, which we'll attend tomorrow and Sunday (we'll be at the baseball game on Saturday). And if you're a golf fan in the area, it might be worth checking out. Three of the top four teams in the nation will be there, along with seven of the top 20 players (three of them are ranked in the top six and play for UCLA, the No. 1 team in the country). The weather could be an issue, though. ... John Blanchette has a fun column about WSU discus-and-shot thrower Joe Bartlett, who also works as a bouncer at Valhalla. ... CougCenter examines a Jake Rodgers video-bomb of yours truly. ... There's a brief mention of WSU at the bottom of our baseball notebook, which leads with Whitworth's pursuit of the Northwest Conference championship. ... Former WSU cornerbacks coach Jody Sears has been promoted to interim head coach at Weber State, replacing John L. Smith.

Around the Pac-12 ... Some more details on the arrest of former Arizona basketball player Jesse Perry. The Wildcats were shut out in the NFL draft's first round. ... As Vontaze Burfict turns. ... Andrew Luck was officially selected with the No. 1 pick. David DeCastro went to the Steelers a little later. ... Oregon didn't have anyone taken in the first round, something the Ducks should be proud of, according to one columnist. ... Oregon State had  a physical practice in preparation for its spring game. The Beavers' quarterback is expected to be improved. ... Utah's coach is satisfied with his team's spring. ... Some Colorado football personnel had a presidential encounter yesterday. ... A UCLA nose tackle is making up for lost time. The brother of a likely draft pick is excited for his own future. ... USC's Matt Kalil was drafted early. ... Getting closer and closer to a playoff in college football. But what will it mean for the Rose Bowl? ... Running down the Pac-12's first-rounders.
