Another morning on the Palouse

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN -- Stop me if you've heard this before: there's not much news out there for you. But read on anyway, because we do have a few links after the jump.

...

In the local story department, all we have for you is our recap of Sunday's final round at the Pac-12 women's golf championships. ... We do, however, have one story we wanted to pass along, and it's this one from the Sporting News, which gives its "instant impact" award to Mike Leach based off WSU's offensive numbers in the spring game. ... The WSU baseball team managed to take one game from Arizona State, beating the Sun Devils 7-6 to avoid a sweep at Bailey-Brayton Field.

Around the Pac-12 ... A timeline of the troubles of Josiah Turner at Arizona. ... A basketball transfer should be able to play immediately at USC. ... More accolades roll in for Colorado coach Tad Boyle. ... ESPN's Pac-12 Blog takes a look at how the conference fared in the NFL draft. ... Washington picked up its third verbal commitment of the weekend.

We also liked this Jim Moore column, and his perspective on the Seahawks' draft choices. I've always felt that ripping a draft class the day after is kind of like saying you hate someone's cooking without eating it first.

All for now.
