EWU opponents are busy

While the Eagles opened their first two-a-day practice on Monday (here is my story and blog post), the Eagles have been nusy as well. Here is the latest from the Palouse and the Big Sky Conference:

First of all, S-R correspondent Josh Wright reports that the Vandals have settled on a starting QB ....In Pullman, our own Christian Caple tales a look at the WSU running backs, the first in a series on the Cougars.Caple also a lengthy blog post this morning. Meanwhile, Big Sky Conference favorite Montana State has a big battle on special teams. ... Also, here's a report on the Bobcats' first scrimmage, which was held late Sunday night. ...  Montana held one too, and here's the report from the Missoulian. ... Farther afield, Idaho State is pondering depth at quarterback.
