Receivers, practice, hoops news and a live chat

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN — Washington State will be on the practice field early this morning, their first and only 9:15 a.m. practice of camp. We'll be there, but hurry up and read these links first because a lot happened yesterday.

We'd first like to put a plug in to notify you of our first live chat of camp, which will be held right here at 1 p.m. We'll be working with a new format, so please allow some leeway for us to work out any kinks that may arise.

We continue our series of position previews with this look at the receivers. We also have plenty of notes from yesterday's practice, and a blog post about the apparent transfer of Brett Kingma to the WSU basketball team. … Some more on Gabe Marks. … Brian Floyd has some notes from practice. … Bud Withers has a feature on Eric Oertel, who left his home state of Wisconsin to be a Cougar.

Around the Pac-12 (and BYU) … Arizona's offensive line is starting to speak up. … Arizona State is off to its old, remote camp location for a little team bonding. … California's offensive line will be tested in a scrimmage on Wednesday. … Stanford's starting secondary couldhave a youthful element to it this season. … Some details here on this afternoon's launch of the Neil Stover Netwo — err, the Pac-12 Networks. … Utah's quarterbacks are still competing. … Colorado has a tight end who is rather tall. … Brett Hundley is trying to make UCLA a quarterback school again. … USC is developing even more depth at receiver. … Oregon State is hoping its young offensive linemen stay healthy. … Another Oregon running back is making a case for playing time this season. … A key BYU linebacker is ready to prove himself.

That's all for now. Make sure to join us later for the chat.
