High-flying Winterhawks in town

The top two teams in the Western Hockey League's U.S. Division, the Portland Winterhawks (28-5-1-0) and the Spokane Chiefs (23-9-1-0), will drop the puck in 20 minutes at the Arena. The teams will meet eight times this season. The only previous meeting this year, Nov. 10 in Spokane, was a 9-1 Portland victory. Spokane has won nine of 12 games since then, but the Winterhawks have won 24 of their last 26 games.
