COUGARS
FROM PULLMAN — We have a brief item to pass along about the arrest of WSU long-snapper Zach Koepp.
…
Here's what we just filed for tomorrow's paper …
PULLMAN – Washington State long-snapper Zach Koepp was arrested early Sunday morning on a charge of obstructing a public servant.
Pullman Police spokesman Cmdr. Chris Tennant said police received a complaint of a person throwing rocks at the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house at about 12:31 a.m. Sunday. Koepp was seen in the area when police responded, Tennant said, and fled on foot before slipping in the mud and hitting his head on a metal grate covering a gas meter.
Tennant said Koepp was cited and released, then transported voluntarily to Pullman Regional Hospital for further evaluation. Tennant said Koepp’s injury was not believed to be serious, saying that it appeared Koepp “just cut his head a little bit.”
Obstructing a public servant is a gross misdemeanor. A WSU spokesman said coaches had been notified of the incident.
Koepp, a Milford, Iowa native who is slated to be a redshirt senior this season, took over the team’s long-snapping duties in 2011 and appeared in 10 games before suffering a concussion against Arizona State.

Doubt that this is a kick off the team offense but he will pay for it dearly with the new head coach.

FB team v. Greeks. It continues.
Anyone out there know what Coach Leach’s track record is for this sort of offense when at TX Tech? This may give us a peak in to the next 24 hours for Mr. Koepp.

Since he was not in a fight, Leach might make him do the ‘rolling the field’ exercise, which might be better when snow returns, or perhaps a double dose of “Midnight Maneuvers”.

Well, I’m from Texas, following Coach Leach because he is a good man and a fantastic coach and was treated badly and unfairly AND illegally at Tech for something he didn’t do. He will work with those kids with tough love!!! If they don’t appreciate his toughness while they are in college, they will almost ALWAYS appreciate it later on and be grateful that they had Coach Leach!!!
Mike doesn’t put up with crap of ANY kind, and he especially doesn’t like physical abuse towards the opposite sex. He doesn’t like the law to be involved in any way, not that he doesn’t like the law,…no, he doesn’t like it at all when his players get mixed up with the law. If he DOESN’T kick the guy off the team, the guy will suffer in some other way, and trust me, the guy won’t want to be stupid anymore. There is an old saying that you can’t fix stupid. Mike does a pretty good job of fixin’ stupid!!!!! Not ALWAYS, but most of the time!!!!!!
You might pass the word on to the rest of the team that they need to ALWAYS work hard on the field, walk the straight and narrow, work hard on school work and make good grades, AND pray!!!!! lolol Mike is a GREAT guy and won’t do anything bad, but he WILL make his point!!!!

It appears that this particular fraternity has been singled out. There are always two sides to every issue. Are there individuals in this fraternity that are creating friction? What is really going on here?

Let’s see…Mike Leach needs “scholarship” spots…we have a “redshirt” senior back up center from Iowa that is the long snapper…and he got a “concussion” at the end of the season.
Sounds like the “consussion” ain’t healed?! So to speak.
If Leach does what he says he preaches and delivers in his book, “Swing The Sword”…then there may be a possibility of resurrection…however, what is “obstructing a public servant”…is that “resisting arrest”?
I wonder if the new “knock” on the “noggin” will assist in putting any common sense back into his head??
Otherwise, if I was Koepp, you just might want to have your bags pre-packed in case you get a “one way ride” back to the corn fields!
It’s just amazing that 2 Cougar players have already been dismissed and departed…and yet, the dum and dummer behavior and actions keep on a comin’!!
I can support Coach Leach in what-ever-he-does in this situation…but, the team and individual players, need to get the message “loud and clear”…therefore…It doesn’t appear it has penetrated some skulls as of yet.
If there is a problem with or inside the PKA house it will be discovered…otherwise…
Another “Adios Amigo” won’t bother me one bit…
GO COUGS!!…GO LEACH!!

Whoops…should have proof read it…”dumb” and “dumber” is the correct spelling…I need a “head hit”!!
GO COUGS!!
