LMU defeats Saint Mary’s
Loyola Marymount went into McKeon Pavilion on Wednesday night and handed the Saint Mary's Gaels a rare home loss.
LMU pulled away for a 75-60 victory over Saint Mary's, which was 16-0 at home, 7-0 in WCC games. The loss leaves SMC (23-4, 12-2 WCC) and Gonzaga (20-4, 10-2) even in the loss column. GU faces Santa Clara tomorrow and San Francisco on Saturday while Saint Mary's visits Murray State in a BracketBusters game Saturday.
Loyola Marymount (17-10, 10-4) is 7-1 on the road in conference games, the lone loss a 78-59 setback against Gonzaga last Saturday.The Gaels have dropped two of their last three.
LMU's Drew Viney, Anthony Ireland and Jarred DuBois combined for 48 points. Rob Jones led the Gaels with 25 point and 15 rebounds. Find the box score here.
