Pac-12 releases football schedule

FROM PULLMAN -- We've just been handed (emailed, whatever) the Pac-12's 2012 football schedule. Read on for the Cougars' games and dates.

Here's WSU's complete schedule:

Sept. 1 -- at BYU

Sept. 8 -- Eastern Washington

Sept. 15 -- at UNLV

Sept. 22 -- Colorado (Homecoming)

Sept. 29 -- Oregon (at Seattle)

Oct. 6 -- at Oregon State

Oct. 13 -- California

Oct. 20 -- Bye

Oct. 27 -- at Stanford

Nov. 3 -- at Utah

Nov. 10 -- UCLA (Dad's Weekend)

Nov. 17 -- at Arizona State

Nov. 23 (Friday) -- Washington

As expected, the Apple Cup remains the Friday after Thanksgiving. The Cougs won't play more than two consecutive games on the road, though with the Oct. 20 bye they will have three straight weeks without a home game. With the Oregon game at CenturyLink Field, WSU will again play five games in Martin Stadium.

For those who don't particularly care for the Friday Apple Cup date, take some comfort that it's at least being played the last week of the season. California and Stanford are playing on Oct. 20.
