Montana leads EWU at halftime

Derek Selvig hit a trio of 3-pointers to led the visiting Montana Grizzlies to a 40-27 halftime lead over Eastern Washington Thursday night in Cheney.

Collin Chiverton scored 12 to pace EWU, which missed 12 of its first 13 shots from the field.

Spokane's Shawn Stockton added six points  for the Grizzlies, who had won eight of nine coming in.

EWU hosts Montana State Saturday night. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
