Pac-12, WAC women’s hoops tournaments start tomorrow

The Washington State and Idaho women's basketball teams are set to begin conference tournament play after wrapping up their regular season schedules last week. Two players from WSU were also honored on Tuesday as the Pac-12 announced its all-conference teams.

More below.

No. 11 WSU will face sixth-seeded Oregon State in the Pac-12 tournament opener today at 7:15 p.m. at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.

The winner will face No. 3 USC on Thursday night in a quarterfinal matchup.

WSU learned Tuesday that Jazmine Perkins was named All-Pac-12 honorable mention and Carly Noyes made all-defensive team honorable mention.

Fourth-seeded Idaho will kick off the Western Athletic Conference tournament against No. 5 San Jose State at 8:30 p.m. at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The Vandals swept the regular-season series, and will play the Spartans for the second time in six days.

The winner advances to play the winner between No. 1 Fresno State and No. 8 New Mexico State on Friday in the semifinals.
