The Spokane Shock placed quarterback Erik Meyer and defensive lineman Brandon Sharpe on injured reserve, retroactive to last Saturday. Meyer (pictured above) suffered a concussion in Spokane's season-opening loss to Iowa. Sharpe's injury wasn't disclosed.

Players on IR are required to sit out four weeks. Meyer and Sharpe will be eligible to return following Spokane's game against Milwaukee on April 14. Spokane has a bye week before visiting Jacksonville on April 28.

AFL rookie Adam Froman took over as starting quarterback and helped the Shock defeat San Antonio 63-60 on March 17. Spokane has signed quarterback Luke Collis, who started his collegiate career at Nevada before finishing at Division III Occidental College. Collis was released during Shock training camp.

Spokane made several other moves Monday, releasing WR Doug Beaumont, WR Delric Ellington, OL Riordan Gomez and WR Verran Tucker and activating WR BJ Dennard and DL James Ruffin from the PUP (physically unable to perform) list.
