Recapping a busy day on the Palouse

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN -- Sometimes, slow days can be a relief. But we've had a number of those this spring, so yesterday's events were a welcome change. Read on for a summation.

...

The biggest news, of course, was the announcement of WSU's new radio broadcast format for football games. We blogged about it here, wrote about it in the newspaper and passed along this blog post with thoughts from one of the men involved. ... The Cougars also landed another verbal commitment from a rather large offensive line prospect. ... Mike Leach took part in an online chat on Redditt, and CougCenter recaps it here. ... Leach is in Omaha today for a book signing. ... Ryan Leaf might seek to change his plea in a Montana court.

Around the Pac-12 (not much) ... Some intros for Arizona's seven basketball freshmen. ... Colorado is going to be young, too. ... Can Oregon land a prized big-man recruit? ... A Beaver football player was named to a watch list.

All for now.
