Gameday links from Utah

FROM SALT LAKE CITY -- A whirlwind week continues here in Salt Lake, where the Cougars face Utah this afternoon in a 12 p.m. game on the Pac-12 Networks (that's 1 p.m. for all you folks in the Mountain time zone). Read on for our usual assortment of links and such.

First, a reminder that we'll have our usual pregame chat, this one starting at 11 a.m. PT. We'll go right up to kickoff. ...  In today's newspaper we had our advance of the game, as well as our 2-minute drill. ... Bud Withers has this scouting report in The Seattle Times. ... Howie Stalwick has this advance for the Kitsap Sun. ... From Utah: The Utes are trying to turn their season around, like WSU. Defensive priorities will change this week for Utah.

There was one Pac-12 game yesterday, as Washington held off California, 21-13, in one of the ugliest displays of football this season. Or any season. Cal won't be playing in a bowl game this year.

In today's action ...

Stanford (6-2, 4-1 Pac-12) at Colorado (1-7, 1-4), 11 a.m., FX -- Colorado is reaching new lows. The Buffaloes are sticking with their starting quarterback. Stanford seems to have forgotten about one of its backups.

Oregon (8-0, 5-0) at Southern California (6-2, 4-2), 4 p.m., FOX -- Here's a preview box from the Oregon side. De'Anthony Thomas is playing at the Coliseum for the first time as a Duck.

Arizona (5-3, 2-3) at UCLA (6-2, 3-2), 7:30 p.m., Pac-12 Network -- Arizona's quarterback is ready to go. This game has some implications about it.

Arizona State (5-3, 3-2) at Oregon State (6-1, 4-1), 7:30 p.m., ESPN2 -- ASU is trying to avoid another late-season collapse. Both teams are looking to get back on track.
