Idaho K Farquhar honored by WAC

Idaho kicker Trey Farquhar, who was 4-for-4 on field goals last week, was named the WAC special teams player of the week today. The senior from Redlands, Calif., is perfect on the year at home on field goals and 10-of-11 overall. In 2011, he was 10-of-15 for the entire year, reflecting the increased field-goal opportunities he's getting with the Vandals' improved offense.

Farquhar is the first Vandal to be honored by the WAC this year. He was also named kicker of the week by College Football Performance Awards, a national honor.

Idaho (1-5, 1-0 WAC) plays at Texas State on Saturday. Kickoff is 4 p.m. PDT.
