Thursday links from WSU

FROM PULLMAN — The Cougars don't practice today, but we still check in this morning with our daily dose of links. So, read on.

In today's newspaper, we have our Pac-12 picks. On the blog yesterday, we passed along news of four more player defections, as well as a report from practice.

Around the Pac-12 … An Arizona defensive lineman is ready to play through some pain. … Arizona State is hoping for a repeat of an upset it had in 1996. … USC is glad it landed a player from Florida. … A UCLA walk-on fondly remembers his older brother. … Utah has one of the best punters in the country. … Colorado's defense  is looking forward to facing USC this week. … Oregon State's fullback is its secret weapon. … Oregon has the Pac-12's top offense, and ASU the top defense, so who wins when the teams get together tonight? … Saturday's rivalry game will be big for both California and Stanford's seasons. … Looking at the first half of Washington's season, which hasn't yielded the expected results in the passing game.
