Big man commits to WSU hoops

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN — There are multiple reports now confirming the verbal commitment of Shorewood High School forward Josh Hawkinson to Washington State, including this one from Braulio Perez of Cougfan.com.

According to that story, Hawkinson, a 6-foot-9, 230-pounder, will play power forward at WSU. According to Scout.com, Hawkinson also holds offers from Santa Clara and San Diego.

He averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds per game last season as a junior.

Hawkinson joins point guard Ikenna Iroegbu as the second player to commit to WSU for the class of 2013.
