A slow Friday from Pullman

FROM PULLMAN — It's another day off for Washington State's football players, their last one before resuming bye-week practices tomorrow night. But there are some Pac-12 matters to discuss, so read on.

We didn't have any WSU content in todays newspaper, but Howie Stalwick did write this story about WSU's receivers spending extra time on the field. … Here's an AP story about the same subject.

There was one Pac-12 game last night …

Oregon 43, Arizona State 21 — Not that it was much of a game, though. The Ducks did basically whatever they wanted in the first half, then coasted the rest of the way.

Around the Pac-12 … Rich Rodriguez has Arizona's offense clicking. … David Shaw shares his favorite Big Game memory. … California's famed “Bear Territory” chant is turning 30. … Reliving “The Play.” … USC receiver Robert Woods is trying to etch his name among some Trojans greats. … UCLA wants to end its special teams woes. … Colorado's top safety is ready to rejoin the team. … Oregon State's offense doesn't change from quarterback to quarterback. … The Beavers are getting one of those quarterbacks back this week.
