October a good month for January

Remember Briann January? The dimunitive point guard for Lewis and Clark High School?

She played basketball for the Tigers, among other things (like a state title in Track and Field), and went on to a standout collegiate career at Arizona State after she graduated in 2005. Now she plays professionally in the WNBA and in Europe. And last week January and the Indiana Fever upset the Minnesota Lynx for the WNBA title. So we caught up with January on Thursday.

Also, just an early reminder: our hoops section is off to the printer in about two weeks. Just something to keep in mind. Please, don't lose any sleep. I know it's sort of like a two-week Christmas Eve for all of you, but good things are worth waiting for.
