FROM PULLMAN — The past few days have been trying times for Washington State fans in a couple of different ways. The football team will try to turn that around this weekend against Oregon, but more bad news trickled in elsewhere yesterday. Read on.

Then, as Cougfan.com reported, Frazier made a verbal commitment to Oklahoma State on Monday. (And in case you're wondering if Frazier's citation is related to Reggie Moore's dismissal from the team, it's not, according to this report by Braulio Perez. And for what it's worth, a Pullman Police Department spokesman told me the police report did not note whether Frazier was accompanied by others at the time of the citation.) … In today's newspaper, we have a Pac-12 notebook that leads with the success Oregon State has experienced early in the season.
