WSU back to practice today

FROM PULLMAN — WSU continues spring practice later today, taking the field for the 12th, and second-to-last time before Saturday's spring game. We have a few links after the jump.

First, I want to link this column written by Bud Withers, who covers WSU for The Seattle Times. Bud was in Boston yesterday with his family, gathered downtown to watch his son race in the Boston Marathon. After two explosions killed three people and injured more than 100, Bud summed the day up with amazing perspective. It's worth your time to read.

… As Howie Stalwick notes in this story, three local players — including WSU's Brock Motum — fared well in the Portsmouth Invitational.

Around the Pac-12 … UCLA has a football player who fits into multiple positions. … Here's a column about new USC basketball coach Andy Enfield. … Connor Wood is making a case to be Colorado's starting quarterback. … Oregon and the NCAA agreed that the Ducks committed “major violations.” Is that bad? … Oregon State basketball player Eric Moreland held a press conference yesterday to announce he's coming back to school. … Notes from OSU's latest spring football practice. … An Arizona forward is considering making the jump to the NBA. … Arizona hopes to up the ante with its new facility.
