Eastern and Big Sky links

Just in from walking my dog here on the South Hill, and it was raining - something I'm sure that would be welcome weather for college football players struggling through steamy two-a-days. The rain just stopped, unlike our coverage of Eastern Washington football. Here's my practice report from Monday, focusing on a talented group of tight ends who hope to get more involved in the passing game. I'm heading back out there in an hour - plenty of time to pass on some related links:

For a paper that just laid off a bunch of sportswriters, the Oregonian is doing a stellar job of covering Oregon State; here's the latest from Corvallis. ... Not so in Toledo, where the local paper seems very interested in a team called the Browns. But here's a link to the very cool and award-winning University of Toledo athletic site.... The Billings Gazette has several intertesting stories on UM and MSU football, all on one page. ...The Sacramento Bee weighs in with a nice feature on all-Big Sky lineman Tyler Worthey. ... Sorry, I missed this link to NAU's first scrimmage of the season, courtesy of the Flagstaff newspaper. ... Idaho State opens camp today, and here's the story from the Idaho State Journal.
