It was a busy day in Cheney, what with practice in  the morning (here's my feature on the defensive line) and an afternoon live chat with athletic director Bill Chaves. The Eagles will hold their first scrimmage on Saturday morning, and I'll file a report. Now on to the rest of the links:

Oregon State coach MIke Riley canceled Thursday's scrimmage to let players heal.The Oregonian has several other stories on the Beavers.... The Montana Grizzlies aren't satisfied with so-so defense, according to this story in the Missoulian. ... The injury bug is hitting Montana State, which lost a defensive starter, perhaps for some time ... In Pocatello, Idaho State coach Mike Kramer is pushing hard to turn things around.
