Friday morning WSU links

From Pullman -- The Cougars didn't practice yesterday but will return to the field this afternoon. My story in today's paper focuses on how the Washington State's coaches have used the bowl practices up to get extra time with young players and improve for next season ... We go back in time to 1916 and take a look at WSU's first bowl game ... John Blanchette has a feature on Colorado State coach Jim McElwain, who hails from Spokane ... The Cougars continue to rack up the offensive tackle recruits.

Links from around the conference, after the jump.

...

  • Arizona's Ka'Deem Carey didn't get the Doak Walker Award, but a healthy dose of motivation.
  • ASU defensive tackle Will Sutton is a First Team All-American.
  • Colorado is having a productive offseason on the recruiting trail.
  • Catching up with Darron Thomas.
  • Brandin Cooks is no longer underrated, not with a Biletnikoff Award to his name.
  • It's just a formality at this point, but Anthony Barr is an All-American.
  • Utah assistant Jay Hill is about to become a head coach.
