WSU bowl rewind: 2003 Holiday Bowl

We've come to our final bowl rewind, the 2003 Holiday Bowl. Coach Bill Doba and No. 15 WSU upset Mack Brown's No. 5 Texas Longhorns.

Each team scored a touchdown in the first half, with the Longhorns starting things off on  Cedric Benson's 12-yard touchdown pass. However, Matt Kegel responded with a strike to Sammy Moore. Following a field goal, Texas held a 10-7 halftime lead.

In the second half Kegel hit Moore again for a 54-yard touchdown, and Jonathan Smith ran one in from 12-yards out to give WSU a 20-10 lead. The Cougars piled on when Jason David picked up a fumble and returned it for a touchdown. A safety forced by the WSU defense made it 28-13 for the Cougars.

Future NFL wide receiver tacked on a touchdown for Texas, but that's as close as the Longhorns would get.
