Arizona awaits WSU on a Saturday

COUGARS

FROM PULLMAN — Arizona awaits Washington State in a 7 p.m. game tonight, but first we have some links for you. One of them is a little outside the box. Read on.

I've always thought it was unique that coach Ken Bone doesn't allow his players to use swear words, so we dug into that a little bit in this story published in today's newspaper. We also have this blog post about the arrest of WSU receiver Drew Loftus early Friday morning. … Howie Stalwick has this preview box in the Kitsap Sun, which also reports about former WSU forward Aron Baynes being assigned to an NBA Developmental League team. … Here's an advance of tonight's game from the Arizona perspective, focusing on the Wildcats' need to slow Brock Motum. … CougCenter wonders whether WSU should have fouled late in Thursday's loss to Arizona State.

Around the Pac-12 … Colorado plays at Utah today (11:30 a.m., FSN), and is trying to keep its winning streak going against a motivated Utes team. A Utah player is shaking off some rust from his mission. … Oregon tries to get back on track at California today (1:30 p.m., FSN/Root), and will need more from its small point guard to get it done. … An interesting matchup in Seattle, as surging Arizona State faces reeling Washington. The Sun Devils' freshman point guard might be one of the best first-year players in the nation (not that WSU needs reminding). And the Huskies are trying to end a 4-game losing streak. … Inside the numbers with Oregon State.

That's all we've got for now. We'll be back before the game.
