Live chat and WSU links

FROM PULLMAN — One more day until Washington State returns to the court for a game against Oregon. We'll be speaking with coach Ken Bone and players later today, but for now we just have links. Read on.

We'll have our weekly live chat today at 1 p.m. … Our story in today's newspaper isn't about basketball, but instead a preview of WSU's (and Gonzaga's) baseball season. … Bud Withers spoke with Ken Bone this week and wrote this column examining whether Bone might be on the hot seat, and whether he can turn things around. One interesting note in the story is Bone saying that some recruits have backed off based on WSU's increased concern over character/background. … CougCenter looks at WSU's defensive problems. … Todd Dybas has this story on the progression of Klay Thompson with the Warriors. … Mike Leach spoke with a group of Republican women yesterday, and this story resulted.

Around the Pac-12 … There were a trio of games last night. All three featured surprising results, particularly California's 76-63 pasting of UCLA, a win that further helped the Bears' NCAA hopes. It was a bad loss for the Bruins. … Colorado got revenge for its earlier loss to Arizona, handling the Wildcats 71-58 in Boulder. … USC continued its roll by taking a 1-point win from Stanford, which was swept by the surging Trojans this season. … Utah is improving its play down the stretch and it's paying off in close games. … Oregon's head coach joined elite coaching company this week. … Looking at the numbers behind Oregon State. … A further look into Arizona State's tough loss to Utah.

Check back at 1 p.m. for our chat.
