COUGARS

FROM TEMPE -- We're headed down the road to Tucson here in a few hours, at which point we'll meet up with WSU to conduct some interviews. First, we have a light recap of yesterday's Pac-12 action. Very light. Read on.

...

We held our weekly live chat yesterday, and you can read a recap of it here. ... Aaaaand that's about all we have in the way of WSU news.

Around the Pac-12 ... The Pac-12 race got even more interesting last night, as California used a buzzer-beating shot by Justin Cobbs to beat Oregon, 48-46, in Eugene. ... There was also a very uninteresting matchup last night featuring Stanford and Oregon State. The Cardinal won, 82-72, in Corvallis. The Beavers' coach wondered if maybe his team just didn't want to win all that badly. ... In Thursday's nightcap, Utah turned the ball over too many times in a 60-50 loss to Colorado, which felt insulted by a harmless halftime exchange. ... Looking back at Arizona State's win over the Cougars on Wednesday. ... Arizona coach Sean Miller was pleased with the play of his big men against Washington.

That's all for now.
